How BetLogic Bet Slip Check Works
BetLogic Bet Slip Check combines AI-assisted screenshot extraction with user review, deterministic odds and structural-risk analysis, and football context only when a fixture is verified.
This is a first-party methodology reference maintained by BetLogic. It explains the system boundaries; it is not betting advice or a forecast of a ticket's outcome.
Methodology Overview
- A supported screenshot is read as untrusted text and converted into editable fields.
- The user reviews the match, market, selection and odds before requesting analysis.
- Confirmed decimal odds feed deterministic structural and implied-probability calculations.
- Fixture Verification separately decides whether a football event can safely receive BetLogic match context.
These stages are deliberately separate. Screenshot extraction is not a prediction, and fixture identity is not a claim that a selection will win.
Step 1 — Screenshot Extraction
Guests can submit a JPG, PNG or WEBP football bet-slip screenshot. BetLogic reads visible text with AI-assisted extraction and returns structured, editable fields rather than treating OCR as fact.
Field-level confidence and warning states identify missing, ambiguous, invalid or duplicated information. OCR confidence describes how usable the extracted text appears; it is not match-prediction confidence and does not predict a betting outcome.
The original image is an input to extraction, not the analysis itself. Unsupported, malformed or unsafe images are rejected before extraction.
Step 2 — User Review and Confirmation
Users can correct every extracted leg, including the match, market, selection and odds. The analysis gate requires meaningful required fields and valid normalized odds; unresolved low-confidence critical fields must be reviewed.
Confirmed user input—not an unreviewed OCR guess—is the basis for analysis. The system does not silently convert an ambiguous selection into a confident market or treat OCR settlement text as verified fixture truth.
Step 3 — Odds and Probability Analysis
BetLogic validates decimal odds and can normalize supported comma-decimal, fractional and American representations to decimal odds. Ambiguous, missing or invalid odds are rejected or flagged instead of being guessed.
- Bookmaker implied probability
- For valid decimal odds, the basic relationship is 1 ÷ decimal odds. This is bookmaker pricing, not a fair, margin-adjusted or BetLogic-calibrated probability.
- Combined implied probability
- Valid leg probabilities are multiplied under an independence assumption. Same-match and otherwise correlated selections can make that simplification less representative.
- Total odds check
- When a total is extracted, BetLogic compares it with the product of valid leg odds and flags material mismatches rather than overwriting the bookmaker total.
Step 4 — Slip Score
Slip Score is a deterministic structural heuristic for the confirmed ticket. Given the same confirmed slip and the same available verified context, it produces the same result.
Its stable factor categories include leg count, the lowest and average odds-derived implied probabilities, combined implied probability, total odds, leg-level structural risk and pricing completeness. A larger multi, long combined odds, lower implied probabilities or incomplete prices can lower the score.
A verified fixture state is not a standalone score rule. Verified, compatible fixture enrichment may contribute existing BetLogic evidence to the analysis-confidence input, but Slip Score does not turn that evidence into a win forecast or blend it into bookmaker implied probability.
Slip Score is not a win probability, prediction, recommendation, safe-bet label or guarantee. A higher score means the ticket is structurally less fragile under these inputs; it does not mean the ticket will win. A lower score identifies structural fragility; it does not mean the ticket will lose.
Step 5 — Structural Risk
Structural Risk is a ticket-level label. Its core deterministic band reflects leg count, priced combined implied probability and missing odds. More legs and a lower combined implied probability increase structural variance; incomplete pricing reduces confidence in the read.
BetLogic can also show separate warnings about same-fixture correlation, long total odds, low-margin favourites, away-leaning selections, friendly/rotation context, duplicate legs and data-quality issues. These warnings add explanation; they should not be read as a separate outcome prediction or as proof that every warning changes the risk band.
The lowest implied-probability leg is simply the confirmed leg with the lowest odds-derived probability. It is neutral evidence about price, not a statement that the selection is the mistake.
Step 6 — Fixture Verification
Fixture Verification is a separate deterministic identity check. It uses normalized team names, known aliases, home/away orientation and available competition or kickoff context to compare a leg against bounded football fixture candidates. It does not rely on a team-name similarity alone.
- Verified
- One canonical event has enough evidence to unlock fixture-specific context.
- Likely
- A plausible candidate exists, but the evidence is not conclusive.
- Conflict
- Available candidates or evidence disagree, so no event is safely attached.
- Unverified
- No sufficiently reliable canonical event is associated with the leg.
Manual fixture resolution lets a user search current fixture candidates. The server validates the chosen canonical event, keeps only an opaque association, and invalidates it if relevant leg identity changes. A likely, conflict or unverified leg is never silently promoted to verified.
Fixture Verification confirms event identity, not selection correctness or future outcome.
Step 7 — Verified Match Context
Only a verified fixture can receive verified-gated football context such as competition, kickoff, status, a related match page, settlement context where supported, or an available AI Match Preview link.
AI Match Preview is a separate match-intelligence system, not part of the deterministic Slip Score or bookmaker implied-probability calculation. A verified fixture does not guarantee that the preview, market interpretation or selection is correct. Unverified legs receive no fabricated match facts.
Data Handling and Privacy
BetLogic processes the original screenshot in application memory and does not persist it in its database or public storage. A sanitized derivative is sent to the configured AI provider for extraction; provider processing and retention depend on the applicable configuration and agreement.
The editable server-held draft contains structured extraction, corrections, review state, warnings and limited upload metadata—not the original image. Guest drafts expire after 24 hours. A free account is required to request analysis and to save an analysis; account history is private and owner-scoped, not public methodology content.

What the Methodology Does Not Do
- It does not guarantee a winning bet, accumulator or profit, and it does not create a safe bet.
- It does not verify future outcomes or turn bookmaker odds into certainty.
- It does not replace review of the screenshot, market, selection, price or stake.
- It does not treat fixture matching as market validation or as a prediction that the selection will win.
- It does not provide financial advice or remove gambling risk.
Methodology Summary
BetLogic Bet Slip Check reads a supported screenshot as untrusted data, lets the user correct the extracted slip, calculates odds-derived and structural signals deterministically, and adds football context only after a fixture is verified. Slip Score and Structural Risk explain ticket structure; they are not calibrated predictions or recommendations.
